The GFX100S II can upload directly to an arbitrary FTP, FTPS, or SFTP server over its built-in Wi-Fi. It saves network and server profiles, supports manual and automatic ordering, and can transfer both still and movie file types already on the card.

Gather these items first, then enter the Camera to Anywhere job credential exactly as issued. The camera sends to the public ingest edge; your private destinations stay downstream.

    The approved root certificate on storage media if FTPS requires a private trust root.

CONNECTION FIELDS

FTP Server Type

FTP, FTPS, or SFTP.

Selects the endpoint security and transport behavior.

FTP Server Address

The Camera to Anywhere hostname only.

Identifies the upload server.

Port Number

The exact assigned port.

Must match the ingress listener.

Proxy Server

Disable unless explicitly provided.

Ordinary Wi-Fi and hotspot paths do not need an FTP proxy.

Passive Mode

Enable for FTP/FTPS behind NAT unless instructed otherwise.

Avoids a server-initiated data connection to the camera.

Login

User Name & Password with the source credentials.

Authenticates and routes the upload.

Specify Target Folder

The assigned remote directory.

Places files in the correct input gallery.

Overwrite Same File Name

No during validation.

Adds a suffix instead of replacing a remote file.

Root Certificate

Load from storage media when required for FTPS.

Provides a trusted root for the TLS certificate.

  • Changing slots or filters clears current selection marks.
  • FTP Power Saving can turn networking off after the queue empties.
LIMITS + WARNINGS
  • There is no built-in Ethernet path documented for this model's FTP workflow; use Wi-Fi.
  • The FTPS root certificate is shared with the Frame.io upload certificate setting.
  • Automatic still transfer does not run while the camera is actively in video shooting mode.
  • A changed hotspot SSID, endpoint certificate, or DNS record requires a new connection test.

TROUBLESHOOTING

01Camera joins Wi-Fi but cannot reach FTP

Verify DNS/gateway values, outbound port policy, endpoint hostname, and passive mode.

02Movie is not transferred during recording

Leave video shooting mode and select the completed MOV or MP4 from playback.

03FTPS certificate fails

Load the correct root and verify the endpoint hostname.

04Automatic queue is empty

Enable Auto Image Transfer Order and the captured file type.
